This Privacy Policy describes how CO Print Press ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you visit, place an order, or otherwise interact with our website at coprintingpress.com. By using our site, you agree to the practices described below.

Information you give us directly
- Account info: name, email address, phone number, company name, and password when you register
- Order info: billing and shipping addresses, items ordered, customizations, and any design files you upload
- Payment info: processed securely through Stripe; we don't store full payment card numbers on our servers
- Communications: emails, support requests, contact form submissions, comments on orders, and any other content you send us
- Optional info: tax-exemption certificates, EIN, business documentation if you apply for tax-exempt purchases
Information collected automatically
- Device & connection: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution
- Usage: pages viewed, time spent, click patterns, referring URLs, search queries within our site
- Cookies: session cookies to keep you logged in and remember your cart; preference cookies to remember your settings; analytics cookies (if you consent)
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your print orders, including production, proofing, payment, and shipping

3. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with trusted third parties that help us operate the business:

- Email service providers — to send order confirmations, shipping updates, and marketing emails (where opted in)
- Cloud hosting providers — to securely store and serve our website and your data

4. Design files & intellectual property
When you upload design files to our service, you grant us a limited license to reproduce them solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order. We retain files for a reasonable period after fulfillment (typically 90 days) to support reprints, refunds, and customer service. After that, we may securely delete them. You retain all ownership and copyright in your designs — we don't use them for our own marketing or sell them.
5. Your rights and choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal retention requirements, like tax records)
- Portability: request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
- Opt out of marketing: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or update preferences in your account
- Cookie controls: manage cookies through your browser settings

6. Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information using industry-standard practices: HTTPS encryption everywhere, secure password hashing, restricted access to staff accounts, payment data handled by PCI-compliant Stripe, and regular software updates. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We can't guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect your data.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes outlined in this policy. Order records are retained for at least 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing preferences are retained until you opt out. Design files are typically deleted within 90 days of order completion. Account data is retained until you request deletion.
8. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
9. International users
We're based in Colorado, USA. If you access our services from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. By using our services, you consent to this transfer.
10. California, Colorado, and other state privacy rights
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Virginia, Utah, Connecticut, or another state with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have additional rights including the right to opt out of "sales" of personal information and "targeted advertising." 11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top will reflect when changes were made. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our site. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
